It has been 10 months since we last saw an update to Google’s Panda. Panda update 29 happened recently and the rollout of this update has happened so slowly that industry experts have had a hard time figuring out the exact impact it is having on search. Hallmark seems to be one company that was hit rather hard losing 20 percent of their search keyword rankings. It seems this update can pack a wallop. Hallmark went from ranking for 29,000 keywords to just 17,000.
Many webmasters have noticed a shuffling in the rankings, stating things seem to be moving around quite a bit. So while it may have been a long wait for the newest update to take place it seems to have started shaking up the internet and reminding webmasters that when you least expect Google still knows how to rock the boat.
Panda is the official name of a Google algorithm update developed to reduce the prevalence of low-quality, thin content in the search results.
